In light of Misty Cliffs' location within the Cape Peninsula Protected Natural Environment, and its status as a conservation village, the Association is committed to promoting an invasive plant free village.

Not only are invasive plant species a threat to the outstanding floral diversity of the area, but many species constitute a serious fire risk to homes due to their high fuel load.

Residents and owners are therefore encouraged to plant indigenous species and keep their properties clear of invaders.
